An original game idea that has gone through a couple of interactions. The player is trapped in a 2D procedurally generated maze with the goal to find the exit of the maze while avoiding enemies and managing limited resources.
Each level is a larger and more complex maze with even more enemies!
A clone of an arcade space shooter released in November 1979 by Atari, Inc. and designed by Lyle Rains, Ed Logg, and Dominic Walsh.
Added features include improved graphics and wormholes that suck both your ship and the asteroids in, and spit them out randomly across the game map.
Veteran Asteroids players will be challenged by the added chaos!
A proof of concept design of parallax scrolling methods used in 2D platforming games like Super Mario Bros., Mega Man, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
As there a multitude of these types of games, the game idea was eventually scrapped and turned into a Demo.
